I was privileged with the job of despatching
Ryanairs' very first jet service from Luton Airport during 1986.
My job was to liaise with contractors and suppliers during the pre-flight phase and then complete the weight and balance aspects of the flight to ensure an on-time departure - which was achieved !!
To mark the occasion, I was later presented with a cut glass Waterford crystal brandy glass by the Ryanair Station Manager.
