Again, whilst employed with Monarch Airlines in the Flight Despatch Office, I was given a once in a lifetime opportunity (for someone outside British Airways and Air France), to despatch the superb Concorde whilst on a visit to Luton Airport.

Whilst at Luton, and the first visit of it's type,

the British Airways Concorde was prepared for a special charter flight

around the Bay of Biscay.

My job was to ensure the smooth and on-time despatch of the flight.

After a rapid (2 hour) course on how to prepare a manual loadsheet,

I presented my loadsheet to the Captain. All was well.

The flight departed 4 hours late. Not because of me but because of a technical fuel pump !!
